T Our Koi Pond project started with buying two used 300 gallon Rubbermaid stock tanks. We wish we had pictures or video of us picking these large bins up from Pennsylvania. We tied them to the roof of a Dodge Minivan and fought rain and wind for two hours back to Maryland. Around this same time, we were watching several YouTube videos on how to make a pond filtration system. We settled on using a 50 gallon Rubbermaid trash can and PVC piping. We have one video of us installing our filter with no sound. We should note that we had to replace the two orange 5 gallon buckets used to support the trashcan due to the weight of the can once filled. We elected to use a couple cinder blocks as our base. We connected a Tetra 1900 GPH water pump with an add-on pre-filter.
Additional adds include an above water level observation tank and a submerged camera. Pond videos are coming soon!
